How do I get rid of safe search on my mobile device and desktop, I never set this up and want it gone? There's no option to remove.
Hi there!
To switch off SafeSearch and allow unrestricted search results in browsers such as Google, you usually need to adjust the settings in the browser itself. A guide is presented for you below:
Step 1. Go to Google homepage (www.google.com).
Step 2. Click on "Sign in" at the top right corner and log in with your Google account. (Ignore this step if completed)
Step 3. Go to SafeSearch settings (https://www.google.com/safesearch).
Step 4. Click Off to see all relevant search results.
To take off SafeSearch on your phone, open a web browser on your phone and launch the Google site. Then follow the step guide below:
Step 1. Tap "Settings" in the bottom of Google homepage.
Step 2. Select Search Settings in the pop up menu.
Step 3. Scroll down to Content and click "Safe Search".
Step 4. Hit Off to disable SafeSearch.
SafeSearch is usually turned off by default, and you can change the explicit setting manually on the Google search engine. The procedure is basically the same as how to turn Safe Search off as described above. In addition, only their parents can change the settings on the Google accounts of children under age 13.
SafeSearch isn't perfect. In addition to turning it off to reveal more, you can use a powerful VPN to do so. iTop VPN has 1800+ servers worldwide, so you can mask your IP and change it to any other location you want, making it easy to access geo-blocked content. Meanwhile, this most secure VPN features AES-256 encryption and a strict no-logging policy that prevents it from being blocked by ISPs, governments, and any third-party advertisers. A great partner for your online security.
