CyberGhost maximum devices reached! What can I do? Just been logged out for reaching device limit when I only have 1 device? Now I can't get back into my account?
If you see the “CyberGhost maximum devices reached” message, it means you’ve connected more devices at the same time than your subscription allows. CyberGhost limits how many devices can be actively connected to protect account security and ensure stable performance for all users. Fortunately, this issue is easy to fix.
1. Disconnect unused devices. Go to your CyberGhost account dashboard, select VPN and check which devices are currently connected. Delete devices you’re no longer using and try to log in again.
2. Make sure you’re not running multiple connections on the same device. If you reinstall CyberGhost or you update your system, CyberGhost will see this as a new installation and you might receive an error that “Maximum number of devices reached!”. Or having CyberGhost enabled on both the desktop app and browser extension at the same time can count as two connections. Disable one if necessary.
3. Consider your usage habits. If multiple family members or devices need VPN access simultaneously, you can upgrade to a plan that supports more connections.
Finally, if the issue persists, contact CyberGhost customer support. They can help reset active sessions or identify unexpected connections.
Or you can choose a better VPN tool - iTop VPN. It supports 8 devices using its service at the same time. Cheaper plans, free trials, faster connection, etc. All available in this one tool.
